I too have a mesmer that l loved to be able to perma on, mainly for asura rep. points in Magnus rather than farming.
I havn't tried for awhile, and it may be maintainable with cons, however it was took some practice to maintain it before, it wasn't easy by any means.
I do have a sin btw, its just that like you said, l liked the option on my mesmer also, it was fun.
Just like doing fast Fow and Doa runs was b4 the ursan nerf. Now Doa is empty and Toa isn't far off. Is this what Anet wanted?
I wonder how many others worked hard to max their Norn rank b4 the nerf.
And despite what many wingers said, it still took skill to use ursan effectively. Sure, Fow isnt impossible in HM anymore, but stuffed if l want to spend +hours doing it when it could be done in 45mins with a good team.
Many people l know have left GW due to these nerfs and l know others who are thinking of it since the Pve acquisition of Faction points has been introduced. I believe that was intended to stop FFF, and fair enough, still the title now is a waste of time. AB has become a joke since more faction can be gained through FA & JQ. I just hope they do rebalance the faction reward for AB still. FA still favours Kurz. Anyway, thats another rave.
Point being, that all these nerfs can't be good for business, just going by the number of people l know who've left because of them.
I still enjoy playing Gw, but alot of the challenging fun has gone out of it, and many of my friends think so still too and have said they won't buy GW2 if the same is going to happen there.

You can still make shiverpeak tour and droks run with a mesmer. Learn your safe spots, and adapt your bar a bit. Seriously. ;\ You can still get 3 shadow forms in the chain that's more than enough to get you to some safe point to let it drop/recharge and heal up.

Yes it's sad, I was a bit heartbroken to find out I can't be invincible anymore, but oh well. God-mode was fun while it lasted.
